ODP Update 2008

 

Jerman, Schweiss and Parchinski Selected for Region IV Team

 

In follow up to the ODP article we posted back in August it is with great excitement that we announce that 3 Pride girls were selected as part of an 18 player squad for the 1993 Region IV team. The girls will attend the Interregional Event held in Coral Springs, Florida from Nov 22-29th 2008. The girls will compete against Region I, Region II, Region III, the U15 USA National team and a Russian National team.

 

This is the second year running that Darcy Jerman and Cate Parchinski have been selected and the first year for Sarah Schweiss (special congrats to Sarah). The summer of 2008 recognized a record number of Pride players selected for the Colorado ODP team to attend Regional Camp.

The boys’ camps were held in McMinnville, Oregon from June 25th through July 24th for the various age groups. Congratulations to the following boys for their efforts:

 

95 Team John Herd, Alex Granados, Jake Knostman and Silas Hendricks

94 Team Kyle Bearman, Nate Rubio and Ian Parker

93 Team Jake Martinez, Mark Dotseth and Jake Bearman

 

The girls’ camps were held in Stockton, California from June 30th through July 21st for the various age groups. Congratulations to the following girls for their achievements:

 

95 Team Maddy Webster, Lindsey Ryals, Hayley Patterson, Amy Eckhert, Annie Parchinski, Kyleigh Wierenga and Erin Geiger.

At the end of regional camp the players are notified if they made holdover for the Region IV pool. Out of approximately 230 players in each age group 32-36 players are heldover each year and from that pool of players the Region IV team is selected. The following Pride players deserve a special mention for being selected into the elite Region IV pool for their respective age groups:
