School of Excellence is a 5-session program that focuses on improving individual skills. The main technical focuses are on individual ball handling, dribbling and moves to beat an opponent, ball striking, passing and receiving, defending, and small-sided games. The curriculum is taught by our experienced and qualified Competitive and Junior Academy staff who have all either played or coached at the state, college or national level and/or hold a coaching qualification. The sessions will take place at the Pride Soccer Complex.
As a staff, we have had the opportunity to see the direct impact that the School of Excellence has had on the technical development of these young players. The benefit of introducing, and improving, the technical ability of our youngest players has been evident in the most recent successes in the older age groups as they compete at a highly competitive level. A solid technical foundation makes the game more enjoyable for players, and increases their likelihood for continued participation in the sport. The SOE program provides an environment where we can introduce, and improve upon, the player’s ability to have a solid foundation. This focus will provide a good foundation, and experience, as the players prepare to enter the Junior Academy and Competitive programs.
The cost for returning players (those that have already done SOE and have a SOE uniform) is $160, and for new players it’s $255 (plus tax) which includes a full Adidas uniform (jersey, shorts, socks, jacket) and a ball. All participants must wear a School of Excellence uniform.
Do not wait too long to sign up. The School of Excellence is a program that is in demand every year and spaces fill fast
