Referee Training combines on-the-field sessions with online learning to prepare you for game day!

PART 1 – ONLINE TRAINING

PART 2 – FIELD TRAINING SESSION
All you have to do is click the link below to begin the US Soccer Grassroots Referee Course at the US Soccer Learning Center.

Once you have completed those modules, return here and click the Field Training link below to choose an in-person clinic, pay the required fees and the system will guide you through the remaining online portions of the course.

You must start the coursework seven days before the field session and all online modules must be completed BEFORE attending the field session you have chosen.

QUICK GUIDE FOR ONLINE REFEREE COURSEWORK

Step 1 – Online coursework at the US Soccer Learning Center can be completed by anyone age 13 or older who is interested in becoming a referee or just wants to learn more about the Laws of the Game.

If you plan to become a referee, there are three learning modules in the US Soccer Learning Center you can take:

Grassroots Referee Course AKA Colorado Online Course (4.5 hours)

SAFESPORT (age 18 and over only only)

Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments

NCSI background check (FEE REQUIRED – age 18 and over only)

Step 2 – In-person Field Training Sessions are being scheduled on a limited basis presently due to the “Safer at Home” mandate in Colorado. “Virtual field training” sessions are planned and will be available shortly. Please continue to check the US Soccer Learning Center for updates.
