Risk Management

a Safe Environment

As part of Pride Soccer Club’s commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our players and families, we have a number of policies in place regarding risk management. Pride Soccer remains committed to going above and beyond the requirements imposed by our state and national associations in keeping with our mantra of ‘doing what’s right for kids.’

1. Safe Sport and Mandatory Reporting

All of our DOCs (Directors Of Coaching), administrative staff and ALL registered coaches are required to undertake Safe Sport training and certification on an annual basis. Policies regarding training and mandatory reporting are in keeping with the US Center For Safe Sport. Further information can be found here.

2. Background Checks

All of our DOCs (Directors Of Coaching), administrative staff and ALL registered coaches are required to pass NCSI (National Center For Safety Initiatives) background checks on an annual basis in order to fulfill their duties with Pride. In addition, referees are subject to the same screening through their respective governing bodies.

3. Concussion Awareness Training and Certification

All of our DOCs and ALL registered coaches are required to take CDC Heads Up Concussion Awareness online training and certification on an annual basis in order to fulfill their duties with Pride. Further information can be found regarding concussions, their symptoms and effects, here.

4. CPR Training & Certification

All of our DOCs (Directors Of Coaching) and administrative staff undertake CPR training and certification. Pride’s staff are trained in a number of situations to respond to emergencies and situations which may occur on or off the soccer field.
