Summer Goalkeeper Camps
June 4-7, 2024 & June 17-20, 2024
Come join us for our revamped summer camp series – with guidance from our Pride goalkeeping staff and current/former college players and coaches, goalkeepers in attendance can expect an encouraging and challenging environment. We strive to refine technical ability and decision-making through representative session design, quality demonstration, and thoughtful coaching tailored to the level of all in attendance. Goalkeepers will be separated into small groups based on age and ability level to ensure a low coach-to-player ratio, as well as the right level of difficulty. Every keeper who spends time with us will leave empowered with the tools to manage their game!
Week 1: Shot Stopping and Angle Management
Week 2: Winning the 1v1 Battle

Camp Details
Ages & Levels
U9 – U19 Competitive, Junior Academy and Recreational players.
Groups will be organized by age and ability to ensure the right level of challenge.
Dates & Times
Week 1: June 4-7, 2024 ; Shot Stopping and Angle Management
Week 2: June 17-20, 2024 ; Winning the 1v1 Battle

Coaching Staff
All camp sessions will be run by Goalkeeping Director Peter Griggs and staffed with current Pride Goalkeeping coaches, as well as current and former college coaches & goalkeepers.

Fees
$375 per camp ; if registering for both sessions, the second will be discounted at 20% to $300.

What is the focus of the camp?
Goalkeeping Technical Focus:
We strive to refine technical ability and decision-making through representative session design, quality demonstration, and thoughtful coaching tailored to the level of all in attendance.
Week 1 will be all about how to prepare for and stopping shots by emphasizing the following:
- Set Position Shape and Timing
- Effective Diving Technique
- Efficient Recovery Movement
- Clean Handling
Week 2 will be about how to be successful in 1v1 situations by emphasizing the following:
- Smother, Spread, and Block techniques
- Decisiveness
- Bravery
- Explosive Movement
What is included in the camp?
- 10 hours of quality instruction and demonstration with plenty of opportunities to develop & refine goalkeeping skills in game-representative sessions.
- Training groups tailored to the age(s) and ability level(s) of all in attendance.
- Coaches with experience at all levels of the game.
